Campaign for Safe Cosmetics Honors Sally B's as “Innovator”
In their 2011 Market Shift report released on December 1, 2011, the Environmental Working Group’s (EWG) Campaign for Safe Cosmetics named us as an "Innovator" for our dedication to leading the skincare industry towards healthier and safer products. We're absolutely honored to be one of the 432 companies nationwide to receive this honor!
We've always been passionate about creating healthy, responsible, and beneficial products. In a country where there is no government regulation of the skincare industry - essentially allowing companies to use any ingredient without documentation - we pride ourselves in being transparent with our ingredients, meticulously listing all ingredients on our packaging and tweeking recipes when a new, organic or an even better ingredient becomes available. We love sharing with you the good, the bad, and the ugly so you can make the most informed decision for your health and your skin.
The Campaign for Safe Cosmetics believes in a similar transparency and education as we do, so earlier this year we partnered with them to help promote their work in creating an industry shift towards healthier industry practices and products. We voluntarily signed their Compact for Safe Cosmetics, which pledges to avoid using chemicals banned in other countries, avoid harmful ingredients and whenever possible to fully disclose product ingredients. We do this in hopes that other companies will follow in our footsteps, so you don't have to worry about what you put on your skin.
We promise to live up to our new title and continue to create amazing products that are good for you and good for the planet!
