We want to present you with a 360 degree look (and often times pretty cool facts) of the ingredients we use so you can confidently pick products that are right for you.

Allantoin
ALOE VERA* (Aloe Barbadensis Leaf)
Often referred to as the “First Aid” plant, aloe vera is semi-tropical succulent whose gel-filled leaves are packed with essential vitamins, enzymes, amino-acids, and a whole lot of water. While aloe vera might be best known for its ability to heal cuts and soothe sunburns, it also helps to supply oxygen to skin cells, which strengthens, rejuvenates, hydrates, and improves elasticity.

ARGAN OIL* (Argania Spinosa Kernel Oi)
Also known as Moroccan green gold, Argan Oil is said to be the rarest oil in the world. In a lengthy, week long process, the oil is extracted from the seeds of the Argania Spinosa Tree’s fruits, which is grown in the desert of Morocco. The oil is extremely abundant in unsaturated fatty acids, linoleic acid, and Vitamin E, making it a great product for hydration and to neutralize free radicals, which helps slow the aging process. It also has a natural sebum regulating action that balances the skin's oil production, alleviating oily skin. Customers have remarked that it has excelled at alleviating signs and symptoms of eczema and psoriasis.

Arnica*
Arnica has anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory qualities that can reduce pain
and swelling, improving wound healing.
AVOCADO OIL* (Persea Gratissima Oil))
Avocado Oil is rich in Vitamins A, B, D, & E and
contains carotene, lecithin, and linoleic acid. It is valued in the skin care
industry for its regenerative and moisturizing properties, and is a powerful
antioxidant equipped to fight free radicals and their damaging effects. This edible oil is also extremely hydrating,
helps produce collagen, and is an anti-inflammatory.

Beeswax*
Beeswax is serves several functions. It is a protectant, a moisturizer and an emulsifier. Beeswax is a byproduct of beekeeping and bees are not harmed when it is extracted.
Calendula
Calendula is derived from the petals of the Calendula Flower. It can also be infused into other oils. Skin Yummies has it's own infusion blend, noted for healing and being an anti-inflammatory.
Camellia Oil* (Camellia oleifera)
Carnauba Wax* (Copernicia cerifera)
Castille Soap*
Castille soap is made from the oils of organic coconuts, olives and jojoba. The oils are saponified into a wonderful, pure and organic liquid soap that contains no sulfates and yet lathers and cleans extremely well.
CASTOR OIL* (Ricinus Communis Seed Oil)
Used for centuries to heal ailments and illness both inside
and out, Castor Oil is best known within the skin care industry for its antimicrobial
and moisturizing properties, and its ability to reduce itching and thicken
skin. Extracted from the seed of the Castor Oil Plant, Castor Oil is a triglyceride,
comprised of fatty acids, 90% of which is ricinoleic acid. Castor oil might look thick, but it absorbs into the skin quickly and
effortlessly, making this ingredient perfect for dry skin, especially in the
lips.

Caffeine is used to boost circulation, and firm and tone skin. The result is to help your skin look fresh and young!
COCOA BUTTER* (Theobroma Cacao Seed Butter)
Cocoa Butter is derived from the cacao bean has
been used for hundreds of years by cultures around the world to moisturize,
heal and protect the skin from the sun. Its unique makeup allows it to
penetrate deep within the skin where the body is more adapt at retaining
moisture, while at the same time, creates a protective layer on the outside of
the skin to keep it soft and smooth. This characteristic is particularly
beneficial to those suffering from eczema or psoriasis. Cocoa Butter is
extremely rich in antioxidants (richer than green tea, in fact!) and a large
percentage of its makeup includes flavanols, which offer even more protection
against free radicals and their damage.

COCONUT OIL* (Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oi)
Coconut Oil has an abundance of health benefits, including maintaining cholesterol levels, aiding in weight loss, and reducing high blood pressure, but in the skincare industry it’s best known for its moisture-rich and antioxidant properties, which help reduce the signs of aging.
Full of lauric acid, capric acid, and capryllic acid, Coconut Oil boasts antimicrobial, antioxidant, antifungal, and antibacterial properties. Coconut Oil is super lightweight and helps make our products apply so silky smooth. It is also an effective and wonderful alternative to Mineral Oil, which has many not-so-good-for you properties.

Comfrey*
Comfrey refreshes your skin by soothing irritated patches and tightening
tissues.
Evening Primrose Oil*
Evening primrose oil moisturizes and softens the skin, and reduces
inflammation. The benefits are especially desirable for dry or scaly patches of
skin. With an abundance of the essential fatty acid omega-6, evening primrose
oil promotes good hydration and gives skin a healthy plush feel.
Glycerin
Glycerin is one of the best natural moisturizers available! It helps to retain
your skin’s natural moisture, and has a lovely cooling effect on the skin.
Super rich in antioxidants, Green Tea is an excellent ingredient for balancing the skin’s moisture content, alleviating dry skin, and helping to protect the skin from free radical damage. Its natural antioxidant nature neutralizes free radicals, helping to minimize the signs of aging, and its anti-inflammatory properties help rejuvenate, sooth, and maintain skin health.

Helichrysum Extract* (Helichrysum Stoechas Extract)
Hyaluronic Acid
A natural moisturizer that attracts and binds water, hyaluronic acid helps to
lubricate and firm the skin, giving it a youthful appearance. It is a preferred
ingredient in wrinkle treatment products.
Jojoba Oil*
Jojoba oil makes the skin feel smooth. Its superb moisturizing ability helps
reduce water loss without leaving the skin feeling greasy. A natural source of
vitamin E, it helps to fight fine lines and skin roughness. Jojoba oil has
antibacterial properties which make it a good, gentle cleanser.
Kokum Butter
Kokum butter is essential for treating extremely dry, rough skin—like heels and
elbows. It is easily absorbed by these scaly patches to provide true relief
without a greasy residue.
LICORICE ROOT EXTRACT (Glycrrhiza Glabra)
A favorite ingredient throughout Japanese culture, it wasn't until recently that Licorice Root Extract became popular in the United States. Packed full of antioxidants and anti-inflammatory compounds, Licorice Root Extract is best known for its ability to naturally soothe and calm irritated skin and has even been known to alleviate itching and redness caused by eczema. It also has been found to regulate oil production, helping to eliminate bacteria on the skin, which can often lead to acne. Licorice Root Extract as a super effective ingredient to help reduce dark age spots, correct uneven pigmentation, and even out the skin.

Mango Butter
Mango butter is an indulgent moisturizer with a lovely rich buttery feel. It
softens and regenerates dull, tired skin.
Marula Oil
Our new favorite carrier oil! It has a lovely feel and the bonus is that it contains, antioxidants, oleic acid, palmitic acid and feels great on your skin.
Olive Oil*
Olive oil conditions your skin to make it bright and supple. Helping your skin
retain its natural moisture, olive oil adds resilience and enables the skin to
glow.
SEA BUCKTHORN OIL (Hippophae rhamnoides)
From the berry of the spiny Sea Buckthorn shrub native to Siberia, Sea Buckthorn Oil is best known for its nourishing, revitalizing and restorative properties. It is full of antioxidants, essential fatty acids, and Vitamins A & C, which helps to reverse and soothe the damaging effects of the sun. It is also aids in relieving inflammation, dryness, and burns, and works to minimize the signs of aging like dark spots and wrinkles. Buckthorn Oil is similar to Tamanu Oil in the sense that it is a superior product for balancing the skin. It also has fantastic anti-inflammatory properties.

Sea Kelp
Sea kelp is a concentrated source of minerals that helps revive the skin by
nourishing, softening, and helping it to retain natural moisture.
Shea Butter* (Butyrospermum Parkii)
Sweet almond oil, easily absorbed, is known for its ability to soften, soothe, and recondition skin. As skin is nourished, elasticity is restored. This leaves skin feeling refined.
TAMANU OIL* (Calophyllum Inophyllum)
Native to Southeast Asia, Tamanu Oil has been used for centuries as a topical healing agent. Throughout Thailand, Fiji, and other Pacific Islands, this oil, derived from the nut of the fruit from the Tamanu Tree, has proven successful in easing the symptoms from scraps, cuts, burns, insect bites, sunburn, and even eczema.
Today, Tamanu Oil continues to be hailed, not only for its remarkable skin-healing qualities, but also for its anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, antibiotic, and antioxidant properties. Its use in skincare helps accelerate new tissue formation, accelerating healing and healthy skin growth.
